Continuous glucose monitor

Finally Access to CGM for ALL Type 1 Diabetics

Great news this morning. Mark Butler MP has announced that the Australian Labor Party will match the Coalition's promise of subsidised continuous glucose monitoring and flash glucose monitoring for all people with type 1 diabetes.
Whatever the outcome of this Federal Election all people with type 1 diabetes will have affordable access to CGM. #CGM4all

This is very exciting and long overdue. Previously only those under 21 or those with a concession card could get a subsidised CGM. The cost for the rest of us who weren't eligible were paying a whopping $330 per month - around $4000 a year.
It's about time we got some help and we are happy to share this news. No matter who wins the election (ALP or Liberal) we can now afford a CGM which will now cost about $32. per month.

This groundbreaking development marks a significant leap forward in diabetes care, ensuring that every Type 1 Diabetic can benefit from real-time insights into their blood sugar levels. CGM technology empowers you with the tools to make informed decisions about your daily activities, diet, and medication management.
